Carved and lacquered Norman wedding cabinet or Armoire - Haute-Normandie

Norman wedding cabinet or Armoire in molded and carved ash, lacquered light gray rechampi cream.

Capped with a straight cornice, this small model is decorated on the top rail with a large basket of flowers with wickerwork motifs, bouquets of flowers on both leaves and a floral composition in woven baskets on the large medallions. The mantel is decorated with fish scale motifs on the jambs and the false frame while a fleuron surrounded by a laurel frieze set on stylized ferns adorns the lower crosspiece.
The off-white painted interior is arranged as a closet with original shelves.
