Clock Directoire representing a fountain

This rare and elegant biscuit pendulum represents a fountain.
The base is a stone basin, the water flows from two heads of horses disgorging into two basins, where it is divided into several falls in the basin.
On the top of the clock an antique scene represents a woman consoling a grieving child.

The quality of the biscuit by its design and its finesse of detail is striking at the time.
Two gilded bronze hoops with palm leaves surround this clock.
The wire clockwork mechanism is original.
