Offered by Antiquités Garnier
This small Louis XVI style chandelier with six lights consists of a shaft of leaves and rosettes carrying the arms.
These arms emerging from foliage are in crushed hanger like their ovals decorating them, a striking design of the Louis XVI style. The binets are crater-shaped and richly decorated with swirling grooves and interlacing friezes.
The counter cups are in drooping foliage. Thin chains "tie" the sconces to the center of the chandelier.
The particularity of this chandelier in addition to its elegance lies in the fact that it is not a small chandelier (simple with three arms for example) but a richly worked chandelier in miniature, which makes it a particularly charming luminaire.
This kind of light is only rarely found, the use of restricted places such as study rooms or alcoves for example having ceased, these small lights were no longer reused and disappeared from scrap dealers and rag pickers.
