Very few known examples, to date, a real museum piece for collectors.
Gilded bronze with finely chiseled mercury and bronze with a brown patina, illustrating an antique scene. The corners in front flanked by winged genies.
White enamel dial with Roman and Arabic numerals, signed "à Paris".
Movement with wire (in working condition, entirely repaired by our workshops).
Dimensions: 29 x 21 x 12 cm
(Some oxidation and wear, small chips in the enamel of the dial at the level of the winding squares.
This clock presents a particularly elaborate architectural composition more or less directly inspired by the ancient Greek and Roman temples often reproduced or imagined by talented painters such as Hubert Robert throughout the second half of the 18th century.
