Black earthenware platter by the Swiss ceramist Paul Bonifas, circa 1930. Bonifas meet Le Corbusier and Ozenfant at the beginning of the twenties in Paris, discovering the Avant-garde and especially the "Purisme" ideas. Back to Switzerland in 1923, he buys a studio located in Ferney Voltaire (France) near Geneva. In this place he will make pieces reflecting the influence of the "Purisme". This platter is one object of this period.
