The bottle seller, Cries of Paris in Meissen porcelain circa 1754

Meissen porcelain figurine with polychrome decoration representing a cry of Paris: the seller of bottles of alcoholic drinks.
He is represented walking holding a lantern in his right hand and a basket filled with bottles in his left arm.

He is called "Patafin" on the drawing and bears the number 17 which is incised under the base. Marked on the back with two crossed swords in blue.
Model by Peter Reinicke, after a drawing by Christophe Huet of 1753.
About 1754, 18th century.
Height : 15 cm.
Chips on the hat and the end of the right foot restored.
