Beautiful and elegant suite of three walnut armchairs lacquered pearl gray, Directoire period, dating from the late eighteenth century circa 1795.
The seats we present are carved with acanthus leaves, crossettes, dice with connection, as well as palmettes on the armrests and the backs. The tapered legs end in spinning tops characteristic of the Louis XVI style.
A curved backrest finishes the architectural decoration.
They are provided with their original tapestry embroidered by the ladies of the house.
The pearl grey lacquer, very popular during the reign of Louis XVI and the Directoire, is also original.
Coming from a large house in Aix, always remained in the same family.
