As under the Ancien Régime painted seats were common during the Empire. Unfortunately the gilded furniture being more commercial, very few polychrome specimens have crossed the centuries, since the least seat worthy of interest was redone...
Condition report: Restored and reupholstered by our workshop in November 2022. Original lacquers are back. Lyonnaise silk from the XIXth century, in perfect condition, installed by our upholsterer.
