Very beautiful and elegant portrait of "Miss Anderson" painted by the artist Sir Thomas LAWRENCE-(1769-1830), oil on canvas dating from 1800, very early 19th century.
The portrait we present represents well the vaporous and romantic touch of LAWRENCE, as well as the elegant expression of the English aristocracy.
In very good condition, beautiful gilded wood frame carved with pearls and palmettes.

History :
Thomas Lawrence (born April 13, 1769 in Bristol and died January 7, 1830 in London), was a painter who was the most important portraitist of the English Regency and the reign of George IV.
Lawrence went to London in 1787, where he was received by Reynolds and became a student at the Royal Academy. He was elected member in 1794 and president from 1820 to his death.
Many of his paintings can be admired at the TATE Gallery in London.
