This splendid large canvas depicts a field scene with a large group of knights in the foreground preparing for the Battle. The overview of military operations extends as far as the eye can see in the large clearing to the long dark horizontal line of hills, which divides the swarming area of ??soldiers from the cloud-laden sky. The composition is truly spectacular, full of descriptive cues with a great variety of characters in motion The considerable size of the canvas helps to make the painting of exceptional visual effect, with an incredible sense of space both front and side.
The splendid chromatic range, where the bright blue of the velvet jackets of the knights stands out (an unrivaled prerogative of the Veronese Master), has remained unchanged and shines with lights and colors also thanks to a perfect cleaning intervention.

The work is in excellent condition, already professionally cleaned and relined. Due to the exceptional dimensions of the canvas, the rewinding was performed on an aluminum frame with a low expansion textile support, following the most advanced technique to avoid twisting of the wood and the movements of the canvas.
