A large famous Empire chariot clock, Paris ca. 1805-1810
This important Empire gilt bronze chariot clock is attributed to Jean-André Reiche after a model by Jean-Baptiste Boyer.
The beautiful cabinet with the figure of Telemachus standing in his chariot pulled by a pair of horses. in the front of the chariot is the head of a roaring lion and in the back is Telemachus Athena, the warrior goddess.
