Painting on paper, mineral pigments and gold leaf, mounted in a four folds screen.
The Queen Mother of the West, sitting, the flowering immortality peach tree behind her, accompanied by several court ladies.
Revered in China as Xi Wang Mu, her Japanese name is Sei?bo. She is represented here in a Chinese style that several Kano school painters were fond of.
Good general condition with old repairs to the paper.
