French Régence console attributed to Toro

Exquisite French Régence gilt and sculpted wood console.

The belt adorned with profusion of foliage and scroll on trellis, a fine sculpted portrait of a lady on a medallion on the middle.

Nice base with two large face to face sculpted “C” on contorted faces whose headdress form scroll.

Marble top.

This nice work of sculpture, the profusion of the decoration, the great respect of symmetry make this console a master piece.

Attributed to Jean-Bernard Honoré Turreau, dit Toro.
