With the decoration of the "Beggars of Callot": Jacques Callot artist from Lorraine, engraver of the 17th century having been very inspiring for Emile Gallé since the end of the 19th century.
Legs in beech, marquetry tops.
Signature on the field of the large table, iron: "Emile Gallé, Nancy + vertical escutcheon containing the letters E.G separated by a cross of Lorraine."
End of the XIXth century, first steps of the art nouveau.
