Large Brass Relief Plate, Piedmont Circa 1850

Large plate in relief, partly gilded and burnished with allegorical representations of Poseidon surrounded by other gods of the sea. The central field in relief is decorated with a finely chiseled rosette. The peripheral frieze presents a vegetal decoration and cartouches decorated with figurative motifs. Italy, mid 19th century.
