A young and handsome Saint Nicholas (quite different from the archetypical bearded Santa Claus) with at his feet, in a basket, the three children that he resurrected after they had been murdered and pickled by a butcher to be served as pork during a famine. Losses (right hand, left arm, head of second child) and wear. Oak, Flanders, 16th century.
