A rare retable fragment of a woman with her arms in the air in a dramatic gesture of grief and despair. She is most probably Mary Magdalene besides the body of Christ. Remains of gilt on her dress. Carved in one massive piece of oak including the sturdy base. Wear (on face), losses (arms). Brabant, ca 1500.
