Hercules Farnese

The sculpture represents a Farnese Hercules.
Hercules leans on his club. Above the pillar the fur
of a lion. His right arm is bent behind his body, his hand holds three apples that they won at the Hesperides.
His gaze is turned forward.
The struggle of Hercules against the lion is one of the labors of Hercules.
He is the classic representation of Hercule Farnese after the Antique.
This bronze is of an extremely fine elaboration.
The patina is green.
There is a small hole in the pubic hair in which a sheet
of fig tree could be inserted. It was lost.
The state of conservation is perfect.
