Oil on canvas representing the cascatelles of Tivoli in front of which 2 boys accompanied by a young woman and their dog are fishing.
One of the most famous places represented in the XVIIIth century and part of the sites not to be missed during the Grand Tour, this place has been painted by many artists, the most famous of which are Hubert Robert, Fragonard or Verlet.
In our painting, the artist shows us the picturesque aspect of the natural site, the ruins dear to this representation associated with the monumental heritage, all in a misty atmosphere.
Influenced by those who represented Tivoli, this painting is to be compared with the circle of Lacroix of Marseille.
