Child Hercules, Rome 1st or 2nd century

Hercules is a child here, but he struggles with all his strength, he is agitated and full of vigour.
As Juno introduces two snakes next to him, he suffocates them... His youth full of ardour announces the hero he will be in the future.
One of his masters, Linos, hit the child one day. The latter hit him back so hard that Linos fell to his death.
Our work has been in a French collection since the 1980s.
