An auricular mirror in carved wood presenting the baker’s guild, made in the upper Rhine, probably Strasbourg or Basel. The upper part is decorated with a pediment presenting a cartouche with the bakers’ emblem, the pretzel, accompanied by two spades. On both sides, we can see two lions facing each other. The sides are decorated with profile masks, while the lower part is decorated with a mascaron that smiles at the personne who looks into the mirror.
