Regency walnut armchair, early 18th century

Important Regency period armchair in molded and carved walnut with a high backrest slightly inclined towards the back, as well as a wide and deep seat.
The four crosspieces of the belt are fretted. The front and side rails are nicely molded and sculpted with a stylized shell.
The armrests have cuffs and their consoles have an elegant wavy movement.
This armchair rests on slightly arched and molded legs, the end of which is sculpted like a snail.
