Biansato bronze vase, bearing the signature of the Giorgio Sommer foundry. It shows small signs of time and two dents. Sommer, who settled in Naples in 1856, in addition to documenting with his photographs the local beauty and the customs and traditions of his people, was a popular photographer of antiquities and archaeological finds, an activity he brilliantly combined with a lively trade in artistic crafts and reproductions, which he began around 1879.
