Set of four prints engraved by Emmanuel de Ghendt in 1765 after gouaches painted by Baudouin in 1753. François Boucher’s son in law, Baudoin, who was received at the Académie Royal de Peinture et de sculptures and exhibited his works at the Salon from the same year, is best known for is licentious subjects.
The gouaches of the Night and the Morning are in the Metropolitan Museum, New York.
