Saint Barbara. 16th C Statue in carved and polychrome wood. Richly dressed, she stands next to the tower where she was locked up by her father. Her young girl’s face, with regular features and with a plentiful hair evokes her legendary beauty. The three windows which symbolize the Trinity, recall her conversion to Christianity cause of her martyrdom. Swabian work.
