French Furniture and Art Pieces of the 18th century and Empire period
Very nice little curved wardrobe in violet wood, opening with two shutters veneered inside in lemon tree and amaranth, topped with an "Aleppo breach" marble.
Stamped by Jacques-Laurent Cosson, (1737-1812), got his master on September 4, 1765. Louis XV period.
Condition report: Very good condition, restored in our workshop in August-October 2021, lock added.
Jacques-Laurent Cosson is one of the renowned cabinetmakers of the second half of the 18th century. The Louvre museum and the Musée des Arts Decoratifs keep various pieces of furniture bearing his stamp.
