Offered by Galerie Saint Martin
Robert GENICOT (1890-1981),
he meets a great success during his career.
Between Paris and the Maghreb, he offers us paintings between impressionism and pointillism.
At the Ecole des Beaux-Arts et de l'Industrie, then at the Ecole des Arts Appliqués de Paris... Emest Laurent's studio, Génicot made his mark everywhere.
He was often rewarded: Salon des Artistes Français, silver medal in 1925; 1937 gold medal for the Universal Exhibition.
Génicot's works evoke the teaching of photographic framing and plunge the viewer directly into a pleasant reverie.
Our painting represents the Grand Trianon, this "small palace of pink marble and porphyry with delicious gardens".
Génicot by a delicate and work of cameo of pink, cream... transports us in this atmosphere.
