Ascension of Christ (Germany, ca 1600)

Large relief of Christ, seated on clouds ascending to heaven. Limewood, most probably south Germany. Height: 76 cm. Wear, losses (left arm) but otherwise good condition. Intricate draping of His robe, hair, beard and face sculpted with great detail and elegance.
