Very rare cartel in green horn veneer tinted in imitation of oriental celadon.
It strikes the hours and half-hours. The enamelled dial and the movement are signed VOISIN FILS à PARIS. The hours are indicated in Roman numerals and the minutes in Arabic numerals thanks to two openwork hands in gilded steel.
The body is violin and its side faces are adorned with a quarte-leaf trellis.
Very rich ornamentation of finely chiseled and gilded bronzes with patterns of foliage, flowers, foliage, garlands and staples. Chimeras adorn the sides and two angels adorn the facade.
It is surmounted by a seated child, the left arm erect and the right arm encircling a rooster resting on its knees.
