A molded glass "PASSIFLORE” chandelier by Rene Lalique with metal brooch; adjustable metal cord
The Passionflower chandelier is made up of twelve pentagonal plates. These are assembled by metal fasteners to form a sphere. Trimmings are used to maintain the luster while hiding the electrical system.
Each of the twelve plaques features the motif of the passion flower, the Passion flower. Although this flower takes its name from the Passion of Christ, this chandelier is not a work of a religious nature. Flora is indeed for René Lalique, along with women and fauna, one of his main sources of inspiration.
