A stunning late-19th century painting dated 1891 by Jeanne Bordes-Guyon (one of the member of the "Sociétaire des Artistes Francais") representing a nude young woman.
Monumental painting depicting the nude of a woman lying on rich damask drapery with floral motifs, in the background soft draperies highlight the splendid incarnate white of the figure. the girl is caught in a dreamy moment in which her arm, softly resting on her pillows, stands out in the foreground with two precious rings in a skilful perspective game. a work of such importance painted by a woman in the late 19th century is very rare especially due to the nature of the subject. frame in pure gold of exceptional quality with grooves and four large acanthus leaves at the corners.
