The belly of the ewer represents a relief of a bacchanal taken from the monumental vase known as "Borghese vase" exposed in the Louvre museum. Newts are represented in a round bump on the foot, the handle is supported by a mask, it takes the form of a winged victory surmounted by a fish and plant windings. The belly is adorned with a frieze of putti in bas-relief, and other plant friezes: acanthus leaves, heart stripe, and water leaves complete the ornamentation of this ewer.
