Selection of furniture from the 16th to the 19th century
Important mirror with wooden glazing beads and gilded stucco.
The main mirror is framed by baguettes with a Bérain decoration. The bevelled-side mirrors framing the latter are decorated at the corners of wedges forming palmettes, flowers and wavy foliage.
At the top, the graceful arched pediment is framed by two chimeras. Moving in the middle of gadrooned volutes, two birds face each other. The glazing beads take place in an animated frame decorated with foliage, floral motifs and ending in a large palm.
This large mirror is particularly representative of the Regency. Its classic lower part is part of an eventful, symmetrical pediment with a balanced decoration.
Regency period, 18th century. Usual restorations.
