Selection of furniture from the 16th to the 19th century
Rare center double desk with 9 opening drawers: on one side 5 drawers including one central and 4 drawers on the guest side.
Composed of two boxes and resting on 8 feet ending in bronze deer hooves, this impressive desk presents a marquetry of foliage and flowers.
The dampened bronze faces are extended by a rod following the sinuosities of the desk.
The black morocco tray surrounded by an ingot mold. The side panels are decorated with floral marquetry and bronze faun faces.
The 4 different bit keys allow each opening a specific series of drawers for more security. The drawers are easily closed and locked with a simple push.
The recessed position of the central drawer allows easy passage of the knees.
