Commentary :
Also called "chlorite jade" because of its green color, seraphinite is a relatively rare mineral from the clinochlor family (chlorite family). The dark green color of seraphinite is enhanced by the silvery shimmer due to the inclusions of mica, thus evoking the feathers of the wings of seraphim. As a result, seraphinite was named after the seraphim, the highest lineage of angels. Used in lithotherapy, this stone gained a reputation as a healing gem; it was also used as an amulet to prevent snakebites.
