Louis XVI portico clock, with double column. It was produced by the watchmaker Pierre Gavelle, received Master in 1771.
The black marble columns, adorned with gilded bronze chains, are around the circular mechanism.
The enamelled dial is signed "Gavelle l'Aîné Paris". It supports an elegant vase of flowers.
The pendulum takes the form of a sun.
The white marble base is embellished with an openwork brass gallery and rests on six "top" feet.
