This oil on canvas signed Eugène Henri Cauchois represents an interesting still life. The vocabulary is as follows: On a gilded wooden console is affixed citrus fruits standing near a fan. A carnival mask sits in front of the flower bouquet. This partly hides a pretty lacquer and bronze box, probably Japanese. The porcelain dish gives light to the scene by contrasting with the vase
the card is from the XIXth century with its original gilding.
