Large Polychrome Stained Glass Window (France, 16th cent)

Large stained glass window (1,01x0,645 metre) of Holy Virgin with Child Jesus between two columns on a red background. Head of the Virgin on a semi-circular blue background. Most probably from northeast France (Troyes - Metz region). Fabulous hues of blue and red. Touch of aubergine, soft yellow to deep brownish ochre. Three discrete greenish accents. Excellent condition. Lead has been restored over the years. No cracks. In a custom made frame with brass finishing. Illumination by two incorporated Led-panels. Warm and soft colors. This size and condition is rare. Dimensions without frame: 1,01 x 0,645 metre. With frame: 1,17 x 0,78 x 0,13 metre.
