A Louis XVI giltwood showcase (vitrine) late

Neoclassical showcase of Louis XVI period late 18th Century..
Elegant neoclassical showcase, Louis XVI period, giltwood on linden wood and walnut frames. Rectangular quadrilateral in shape, it opens on the facade by a glass door, curved with a flat profile with corbin's beak hugging the frame. It opens from left to right, hinging on small golden iron hinges with a median axis surmounted by a pearl. A handle also in gilded iron of quadrilateral form, rhombus hinges its closure by an interior latch. On both sides of the main part, two angular pilasters-backsplashes of small projection, hollowed out with rudent grooves at the base and marquee frame the door. Both connected horizontally by cross-members, longitudinal for the bass and the curved base for the high. The whole is topped with a concave cornice with sharp edges adorned with a corbin beak matching that of the inner periphery of the door frame. This one as well as the main one is decorated with Greek mythological stuccos such as sea horses, covered vases flanked by knots and ribbons, horns of plenty, plumed helmet, palmettes and other flowery rosettes, vegetable and floral garlands without forgetting winged swans and flowers lotus. Observation: This showcase of the last decade of the reign of Louis XVI was part of a paneling, therefore without funds; these have been filled in order to be vested individually. Dimensions: Height 141cm, width 110cm (cornice) 92cm (uprights), depth 35cm (cornice) 28cm (uprights) 20cm (interior). It should be noted that this display case can be both suspended and placed depending on the decor of its buyer.
