End of 18th C important Marriage Armoire (wardrobe) from Nîmes (Provence). Richly carved front with, at the fronton, a couple of doves in a garland of oak leaves. Low apron decorated with a fine fretwork comprising a lyre surrounded with leaves. On the battue, there are music instruments, agrarian tools and, very unusual, a hat for a member of the ( National ) Convention that allows to date this Armoire from the French Revolution.
