Female Saint from a Calvary group from the south of Germany. Extremely tender and delicate facial expression. One of the 4 Marys at the Cross: most probably Mary Cleophas or Mary Salome. As she does not hold a pyxis in her hand it is not Mary Magdalene and her expression is not sad enough to be the Holy Virgin. Polychromy from various periods. Traces of wear consistent with the age of the object. From our private collection.
