Wooden Panel or Hatch, (XVIth cent, 30x30x4cm). Sturdy wooden panel or hatch with engraved and embossed motives. The central mandorla features a female Saint (Mary?), a typical motive for early Byzantine iconography. The surrounding areas are decorated with hammered or engraved motives.
