Great-niece of Pope Leo XI de Medici, nicknamed "Papa Lampo" (lightning pope) because of the brevity of his reign, Costanza (c. 1586-87 - c. 1630) married Vincenzo Cospi on August 2, 1604 in Florence. From this union was to be born Ferdinando Cospi, future founder of the famous Museo Cospiano, a cabinet of curiosities considered to be an annex to the Museum of Ulysses Aldrovandi in Bologna.
