French Furniture and Art Pieces of the 18th century and Empire period
Curious pendulum "Vase" dating from the late eighteenth century, richly decorated with a bronze bouquet decorated with flowers of Vincennes and Meissen porcelain and green lacquered tole.
Vincennes' and Meissen's flowers are in use mainly during the first half of the 18th century. The bouquet in question is probably a re-use of an older piece. This rare mixture, however, is beautifully successful.
Work circa 1730 for the bouquet, 1790 for the clock.
Condition report: Revised by our watchmaker in October 2018. Lack 1 flower, very beautiful gilding condition, movement modified in 1821 (addition of the ringtone) but no change in the suspension. Wear with enamel.
