Offered by Galerie Saint Martin
The life of Saint Barbara intermingle with legends.
One of the most famous reports that Saint Barbara, of great beauty, is offered marriage by his father. The latter refuses preferring Christ. To punish her, her father locks her in a tower with only two windows.
The latter will dig a third window to represent the trinity.
Refusing to abjure her faith, she was tortured and beheaded.
Our 16th century Beard is represented here with its attributes: the palm of martyrdom in the right hand, as well as a book in the left hand. Behind the tower with three windows
