Late 18th C Louis XVI mirror in carved and gilt wood. At the pediment, in a cartouche, the fasces (bundle of wooden rods, including an axe with the blade emerging), symbolizes the French Revolution and the First Republic. There is also a decoration comprising fruit and leaves of laurel tree. Mercury mirror. From Provence.
