Wood (probably limewood) with polychromy, Spain end of XVth century (1475-1500), heigth 22 cm. This delicate female bust very probably represents Eulalia from Barcelona. The popular Spanish saint (patroness of Barcelona) died in martyrdom while her breasts were cut off (the sculpture has two cavities where the breasts should be) and is usually depicted with loose hair, held together by a hair ribbon.
