French Furniture and Art Pieces of the 18th century and Empire period
Pair of candlesticks in bronze gilt in the matt manner, Empire period.
6 candlesticks of this model were delivered by Thomire-Duterme et Cie. on October 18th 1809 for the sleeping room of the small appartment of the Empress Josephine in the Palace of Fontainebleau. 4 of the 6 delivered candlesticks are still in the Palace of Fontainebleau. The pair that we have left the Palace in 1880.
