16th to 18th century furniture, paintings and works of art
The rounded pediment is adorned with a beautiful broken grenade. It emerges from a cartouche and is surrounded on each side by garlands floral and foliage, petals and leaves delicately carved. The two dragons confronted, open mouths, ready to fly, bring dynamism to the whole.
The inside frame in the form of rods with palm trees receives in its lower part a shell in the form of a heart surrounded by foliage foliage.
The elegance of the forms and the finesse of the sculpture combined with the exuberance of the decor make this mirror a fine example of the refinement of French furniture during the first half of the 18th century.
