Outstanding and impressive Louis XV-style commode from the last quarter of the 19th century, with stained-wood floral marquetry in rosewood frames.
A lively commode that is curved on all sides.
It opens with 2 drawers sans traverse.
The central cartouche is decorated with flowers and framed by a large gilded bronze cartouche, which itself is surrounded by amaranth veneer. The central cartouche is decorated with foliage, rocaille volutes, the lock built into a shell, the salamander-head handles are in the style of Gouthière or Caffieri stone models.
The curved edges are encased in a gilded bronze quatrefoil cartouche, in the same floral marquetry.
The sculptured and decorated bronze legs are extended by rings on the edge of the feet;
the top is grand opera sarancolin marble .
